General Information for Players
Regular rehearsals are normally held on Sunday evenings from 5:45 to 8:30 PM in Greenwall Auditorium in the VAPA Building at Bennington College in North Bennington, VT. Please allow enough time to arrive, park, unload, and get set up so you are READY TO PLAY at 5:45 sharp so as not to waste valuable rehearsal time. Dress rehearsals are normally held on Saturday the day before the Sunday performance.
There is generally a short break around the middle of the rehearsal during which players can share refreshments contributed by assigned sections of the orchestra; the assignment of which section brings refreshments (snacks and / or drinks) on specified dates will be noted with the rehearsal dates below.
Please check your email - including your Junk folder - frequently to be sure you don't miss important updates on time, location, and / or other rehearsal or concert changes due to College events, weather, or other factors, as well as other important news.
And please make sure we have your current, correct, and complete contact info!
Each year in preparation for the upcoming concert season, usually in late summer - as well as periodically throughout the season - Symphony Manager Gail Smith sends out an email to all players that provides an overview of scheduled concert dates; rehearsal dates, times, and locations; and programs, etc., so everyone can plan ahead and mark their calendars.
Any questions may be directed to Symphony Manager Gail Smith via email or by phone at 802-733-3382.
